Assessing the Data Quality Dimensions of Partial and Complete Mastectomy Cohorts in the All of Us Research Program: Cross-Sectional Study

Assessing the Data Quality Dimensions of Partial and Complete Mastectomy Cohorts in the All of Us Research Program: Cross-Sectional Study

Additionally, we restricted the phenotype to the earliest occurrence of a procedure and to female participants who were at least 18 years or older at the time of the procedure. We developed a data quality dimensions (DQD) framework and evaluation matrix that was adapted from Kahn et al [16].

Net Reproduction Number as a Real-Time Metric of Population Reproducibility

Net Reproduction Number as a Real-Time Metric of Population Reproducibility

However, this cohort-based measure is biased when there is male-to-female sex-ratio imbalance at birth [2,3]. The TFR does not account for mortality rates among childbearing-age women, possibly affecting population reproducibility [2,4]. These limitations reduce TFR’s ability to accurately reflect a country’s population replacement dynamics.

Reliable Web-Based Auditory Cognitive Testing: Observational Study

Reliable Web-Based Auditory Cognitive Testing: Observational Study

The sample included 75 female and 47 male participants. As these participants did not have pure-tone audiometry performed, we were unable to grade the severity of hearing loss like for the in-person participants. Age in the in-person (n=153; green) versus web-based (n=58; yellow) cohort of participants. People older than 70 years of age were less likely to participate in web-based auditory cognitive experimentation.

Development and Validation of a Machine Learning–Based Early Warning Model for Lichenoid Vulvar Disease: Prediction Model Development Study

Development and Validation of a Machine Learning–Based Early Warning Model for Lichenoid Vulvar Disease: Prediction Model Development Study

The study incorporated 2634 female patients who attended the West China Second Hospital of Sichuan University from January 2013 to December 2017. Based on the results of their medical examinations, these patients were divided into 2 groups, that is, the normal vulvovagina group (group 0) consisting of 1080 cases and the LVD group (group 1) comprising 1554 cases.

Integrating Real-Time Air Quality Monitoring, Ecological Momentary Assessment, and Spirometry to Evaluate Asthma Symptoms: Usability Study

Integrating Real-Time Air Quality Monitoring, Ecological Momentary Assessment, and Spirometry to Evaluate Asthma Symptoms: Usability Study

Participants (N=40) were primarily female (n=36, 90%), college graduates (n=25, 66%), employed (n=30, 75%), owners of their home (n=27, 67.5%), and residing in a single-family home (n=30, 75%), and they were from 18 (36%) different US states. Most participants indicated they were non-Hispanic (n=38, 95%) and White (n=26, 67%). A total of 5 (13%) participants indicated Black or African American race, 4 (10%) reported their race as American Indian or Alaskan Native, and 2 (5%) indicated Asian race.

Predicting the Population Risk of Suicide Using Routinely Collected Health Administrative Data in Quebec, Canada: Model-Based Synthetic Estimation Study

Predicting the Population Risk of Suicide Using Routinely Collected Health Administrative Data in Quebec, Canada: Model-Based Synthetic Estimation Study

The male and female models had common predictors (eg, age; living in rural area; hospitalization for suicide attempt; outpatient psychiatrist visits for mental health reasons; and presence of mood, anxiety, substance use, and personality disorders); some predictors are sex specific (in males: Charlson score, emergency and general physician [GP] visits for physical health reasons, and regional mental health budget; in females: material deprivation score and emergency and GP visits for mental health reasons).

Impact of Fruit and Vegetable Enzyme Supplementation on Aerobic Performance and Lactate Response in Older Adults Following High-Intensity Interval Exercise Through Exergaming: Randomized Experimental Matched-Pair Study

Impact of Fruit and Vegetable Enzyme Supplementation on Aerobic Performance and Lactate Response in Older Adults Following High-Intensity Interval Exercise Through Exergaming: Randomized Experimental Matched-Pair Study

Ultimately, 16 female older adult participants were enrolled in the study. These participants were then divided into 2 distinct groups (enzyme and placebo) based on their pretest lactate levels. Pairwise grouping was used to ensure comparability between the groups, thereby preserving the integrity of the results. All participants reported a regular exercise habit (3 times per week within the past year).
