Mental Health Issues and 24-Hour Movement Guidelines–Based Intervention Strategies for University Students With High-Risk Social Network Addiction: Cross-Sectional Study Using a Machine Learning Approach

Mental Health Issues and 24-Hour Movement Guidelines–Based Intervention Strategies for University Students With High-Risk Social Network Addiction: Cross-Sectional Study Using a Machine Learning Approach

Although Griffiths’ 6 D model of behavioral addiction (salience, tolerance, mood modification, relapse, withdrawal, and conflict) provides a solid foundation for the theoretical conceptualization of SNA [11-13], there are important differences between SNA and other types of internet addiction (eg, internet gaming disorder or compulsive internet use) in terms of specific cognitive and emotional mechanisms.

Peer Volunteers’ Journeys Through Training and Engagement in Older Adult Communities: Descriptive Qualitative Study

Peer Volunteers’ Journeys Through Training and Engagement in Older Adult Communities: Descriptive Qualitative Study

Many felt the need for a chaperone, especially when interacting with the opposite gender, as a safety measure and to prevent unnecessary conflict. In one instance, one female peer volunteer experienced negative experiences from a wife due to her close rapport with the community resident. There is a gender difference [in our local setting] that we need to be more mindful. For female, we can touch the female, can consult but for male, we need to be more careful, more mindful on our gesture.

Impact of Media-Induced Uncertainty on Mental Health: Narrative-Based Perspective

Impact of Media-Induced Uncertainty on Mental Health: Narrative-Based Perspective

The anticipatory uncertainty surrounding the conflict (eg, potential escalation, economic instability, and geopolitical tensions) parallels the uncertainty associated with global health crises but differs in that it involves military aggression, political narratives, and humanitarian crises, which create unique patterns of stress and information-seeking behavior [53].

Availability and Use of Digital Technology Among Women With Polycystic Ovary Syndrome: Scoping Review

Availability and Use of Digital Technology Among Women With Polycystic Ovary Syndrome: Scoping Review

A conflict of interest among PCOS-specific content on social media platforms was the presence of promotional advertising: 29% (23/80) of all You Tube videos [42], 45% (23/50) of all Tik Tok videos, and 89% (45/50) of all Instagram posts [45]. As such, social media platforms often involve people, called influencers, who affect the purchasing decisions of others because of their authority, knowledge, or position. Elhariry and colleagues [42] identified the top 100 PCOS influencers and interviewed 8 of them.

Driving and Restraining Forces in the Implementation of Information Systems in the Public Sector: Scoping Review

Driving and Restraining Forces in the Implementation of Information Systems in the Public Sector: Scoping Review

Challenges arise especially when management’s expectations for change conflict the values of the employees [66], such as with productivity expectations. In terms of collaboration, failure can occur in estimating the size of the project [53], often resulting in the project being larger than initially anticipated. Another identified barrier is the lack of close cooperation between clinical leadership and IT professionals [65].

Using Ecological Momentary Assessment to Assess Family Functioning in Spanish-Speaking Parent and Adolescent Dyads: Daily Questionnaire Study

Using Ecological Momentary Assessment to Assess Family Functioning in Spanish-Speaking Parent and Adolescent Dyads: Daily Questionnaire Study

It is possible that due to the nature of the early adolescent age (mean 11.9 years), adolescents may report consistent family functioning, as conflict may not manifest between parents and adolescents until later in adolescence when adolescents begin to explore their autonomy [26,27]. Additionally, it is important to consider the EMA protocol length (ie, 7 days).

Characterizing Cross-Provincial High-Cost Patients in Rural China: Cross-Sectional Study

Characterizing Cross-Provincial High-Cost Patients in Rural China: Cross-Sectional Study

No financial compensation was provided to either the patients or the researchers, and there were no funding sources that could create a conflict of interest for the study. Figure 1 illustrates the distribution of medical expenditures of cross-province rural patients. HC patients (299/2987, 10%) were responsible for 34.5% of total medical expenditures. The average cost per hospitalization for HC patients was US $6261, which was 2.47 times of the remaining patients.

Improving Suicidal Ideation Detection in Social Media Posts: Topic Modeling and Synthetic Data Augmentation Approach

Improving Suicidal Ideation Detection in Social Media Posts: Topic Modeling and Synthetic Data Augmentation Approach

“Family-related stressors,” such as conflict, dysfunctional dynamics, and poor communication, can significantly impact an individual’s emotional well-being and contribute to suicidal thoughts. Strengthening family relationships and providing support to those affected are essential in mitigating this risk factor [43,55]. Difficulties in “relationships,” including conflicts, breakups, and marital dissatisfaction, have been reported as significant topics in relation to suicidal ideation.

Exploring the Barriers to and Facilitators of Using Virtual Reality Relaxation for Patients With Psychiatric Problems: Qualitative Focus Group Study

Exploring the Barriers to and Facilitators of Using Virtual Reality Relaxation for Patients With Psychiatric Problems: Qualitative Focus Group Study

A recent study explored the feasibility of Safe VRwards, an evidence-based conflict-containment framework using virtual natural environments, showing potential benefits in enhancing relaxation and managing conflict in inpatient psychiatric wards [21]. Exposure to natural environments, both in VR and outdoors, to induce relaxation shows promising results [22-26]. The attention restoration theory suggests that exposure to nature can reduce stress, improve mood, and increase physical activity [27-29].
