Short, Animated Storytelling Video to Reduce Addiction Stigma in 13,500 Participants Across Multiple Countries Through an Online Approach: Protocol for a Randomized Controlled Trial

Short, animated storytelling (SAS) is a novel health communication approach developed in response to the need for rapid, global dissemination of public health messaging across various languages, cultures, literacy, and education levels during the COVID-19 pandemic [15,16]. SAS interventions boost cross-cultural relevance through accessible character designs [17], and they support the engagement of diverse audiences through the use of wordless visual storytelling and compelling soundtracks [18,19].

Effect of a Short, Animated Storytelling Video on Transphobia Among US Parents: Randomized Controlled Trial

We also used a timer to confirm that participants in the control group read the TGD fact sheet and that those in the intervention group viewed the short, animated storytelling video before proceeding to the next screen. Each participant received US $2.40 for completing this study. Our novel, digital intervention used a short, animated storytelling video to capture an authentic prerecorded conversation between a mother and her transgender child.

Developing a Life Story Intervention for Older Adults With Dementia or at Risk of Delirium Who Were Hospitalized: Multistage, Stakeholder-Engaged Co-Design Study

Because of negative hospital experiences (eg, experiencing confusion and disorientation), communication challenges, and barriers to person-centered care in the hospital, these populations may similarly stand to benefit from patient life storytelling. The aim of this study was to describe a stakeholder-engaged co-design process to adapt an existing life storytelling model for older adults with dementia or at risk of delirium in the acute care hospital setting.

Interactive Narrative–Based Digital Health Interventions for Vaccine Communication: Protocol for a Scoping Review

Interactive Narrative–Based Digital Health Interventions for Vaccine Communication: Protocol for a Scoping Review

Such interventions show a promising approach to storytelling by fostering self-efficacy that could be leveraged for vaccination promotion [10]. While prior systematic and scoping reviews have examined narrative-based communication for health [11,12], or specifically vaccines [13], the interactivity of narrative-based digital health interventions was not the focus.

Developing a Culturally and Linguistically Congruent Digital Storytelling Intervention in Vietnamese and Korean American Mothers of Human Papillomavirus–Vaccinated Children: Feasibility and Acceptability Study

Storytelling, a specific form of cultural narrative, shows promise as an effective culture-centric health promotion strategy [15,19]. Digital storytelling (DST), which combines oral storytelling with computer technology, has been used as a tool to communicate culturally relevant messages in health, education, and community settings [20].

Using the Transformative Storytelling Technique to Generate Empowering Narratives for Informal Caregivers: Semistructured Interviews, Thematic Analysis, and Method Demonstration
