An Exergames Program for Adolescents With Type 1 Diabetes: Qualitative Study of Acceptability

All the participants credited the program with improving or raising awareness of T1 D management skills. As a result of the program, participants were more conscious of checking and testing their glucose levels so they could adjust therapy plans and mitigate hypoglycemia and hyperglycemia. They reported having developed pre-exercise planning skills for T1 D, such as monitoring their glucose levels more actively and having snacks nearby while exercising as a result of the program.

Breast Cancer Screening Participation and Internet Search Activity in a Japanese Population: Decade-Long Time-Series Study

Breast Cancer Screening Participation and Internet Search Activity in a Japanese Population: Decade-Long Time-Series Study

Malaysia reported a significant correlation between Google Trends search patterns and Pink Ribbon Month, a breast cancer awareness campaign [16]. Among several internet search engines, Google was also shown to have the best search validity (regarding whether a web page could be opened) for breast cancer screening information [17]. In contrast, a previous Japanese study analyzed trends in cervical cancer and reported no change in public interest during the cervical cancer awareness month [18].

Patient-Generated Collections for Organizing Electronic Health Record Data to Elevate Personal Meaning, Improve Actionability, and Support Patient–Health Care Provider Communication: Think-Aloud Evaluation Study

Inspired by findings that a problem-based view of EHR data improves clinician awareness, prioritization, and decision-making in the intensive care unit [14], we adapted a similar approach for patients anchored in the data-frame sensemaking theory [15]. Data frames (ie, structured mental models) or collections of health data, as we refer to them in our previous work [13], systematically break down problems and help in answering complex questions.

Improving Mental Health and Well-Being Through the Paradym App: Quantitative Study of Real-World Data

Emotional self-awareness, which refers to recognizing and expressing one’s emotions as they occur [14], is crucial for achieving emotional well-being, as low levels of emotional awareness have consistently been linked to diminished emotional well-being, reduced quality of life, problems in interpersonal relationships, and a higher risk of mental health disorders like depression and anxiety [15,16].
