Toward a Smartphone-Based and Conversational Agent–Delivered Just-in-Time Adaptive Holistic Lifestyle Intervention for Older Adults Affected by Cognitive Decline: Two-Week Proof-of-Concept Study

Despite growing evidence from high-quality randomized controlled trials that indicates that lifestyle interventions can improve or maintain quality of life (Qo L), slow cognitive decline, and even mitigate epigenetic age acceleration [7-9], awareness of dementia prevention remains limited: one-third of individuals living in Switzerland are unaware that lifestyle choices can impact dementia risk [6]—a gap underscoring the need for accessible, scalable approaches that promote health literacy and support everyday

Inter- and Intrapersonal Associations Between Physiology and Mental Health: A Longitudinal Study Using Wearables and Mental Health Surveys

A promising avenue for expanding awareness into individual mental health status can be found in digital technologies like smartphone apps and wearables. Although digital technology adoption may be limited by digital literacy and socioeconomic status [6,7], around half of all smartphone owners use a health and wellness app [8,9] and, in a survey dispersed to a population reflective of the US population, 44.5% (10,679/23,974) of respondents indicated they owned a wearable device [10].

Rising Leishmaniasis Cases in the United States Based on Registry Data From 2007 to 2023 and the Vital Role of Health Care Providers in Awareness and Management

Additionally, Mc Ilwee et al [2] found that only 20% of cases were reported to the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) between 2007 to 2023, despite such reporting being a legal requirement, potentially highlighting medical providers’ lack of awareness regarding human leishmaniasis. As environmental temperatures increase globally, the leishmaniasis vector and reservoir habitats have been expanding northward, potentially reaching southeastern Canada by 2050 [3].

An Exergames Program for Adolescents With Type 1 Diabetes: Qualitative Study of Acceptability

All the participants credited the program with improving or raising awareness of T1 D management skills. As a result of the program, participants were more conscious of checking and testing their glucose levels so they could adjust therapy plans and mitigate hypoglycemia and hyperglycemia. They reported having developed pre-exercise planning skills for T1 D, such as monitoring their glucose levels more actively and having snacks nearby while exercising as a result of the program.

Breast Cancer Screening Participation and Internet Search Activity in a Japanese Population: Decade-Long Time-Series Study

Breast Cancer Screening Participation and Internet Search Activity in a Japanese Population: Decade-Long Time-Series Study

Malaysia reported a significant correlation between Google Trends search patterns and Pink Ribbon Month, a breast cancer awareness campaign [16]. Among several internet search engines, Google was also shown to have the best search validity (regarding whether a web page could be opened) for breast cancer screening information [17]. In contrast, a previous Japanese study analyzed trends in cervical cancer and reported no change in public interest during the cervical cancer awareness month [18].
