Collecting Real-Life Psychophysiological Data via Wearables to Better Understand Child Behavior in a Children’s Psychiatric Center: Mixed Methods Study on Feasibility and Implementation

This is particularly of interest because elevated psychophysiological measures (ie, HR and EDA) have been linked to emotional and behavioral dysregulation, including aggressive behavior. Given that aggressive behavior is often the main reason of referral for a psychiatric evaluation in a children’s psychiatric clinic and imposes a substantial burden on the child, family, and health care staff, these innovative devices could enhance current treatment programs.
