To develop school-based interventions focused on peaceful coexistence and antiextremism, Bahrain worked collaboratively with the Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.) organization. D.A.R.E. implements comprehensive K-12 prevention programs in dozens of countries around the world [9]. As implied by its name, the goal of the core D.A.R.E. curriculum is to prevent drug use.

To characterize the sample before treatment, we collected data on individuals’ history of sexual abuse (Sexual Abuse Severity Scale) [26] substance use (Tobacco, Alcohol, Prescription Medications, and Other Substances scale) [27], and social support (Oslo Social Support Scale) [28] at baseline. To measure the feasibility of the M-Healer intervention, we collected data post treatment on healers’ use of the M-Healer technology, as well as knowledge and skills related to engagement with M-Healer.

In accordance with regional guidelines [14] and international standards [16], WPV was defined as any form of verbal abuse, threats, physical assaults (to persons or things) and sexual harassment occurring at the workplace and perpetrated by hospital patients or visitors or hospital employees. During 2016-2020, incident reporting was based upon procedures and data collection forms that were neither standardized between hospitals nor specific for aggressions.
