Despite the efficacy of multitargeted tyrosine kinase inhibitors TKI as first- or second-line therapies for solid and hematologic cancers, thyroid dysfunction—especially hypothyroidism—may complicate treatment regimens using sunitinib and sorafenib. Although not life-threatening, such adverse events can lead to a suboptimal quality of life, physical discomfort, or the need for thyroid dysfunction treatment [1,2].
