These lifestyle-related diseases, such as cardiovascular diseases (CVDs), some cancers, respiratory diseases, and diabetes, are among the most common causes of death and disability [1]. The rapid increase in NCD rates is a global disease burden in both developed and developing nations. However, we now know that these NCDs can be prevented, or substantially delayed, by changes in lifestyle (eg, factors such as diet, physical activity, stress, and sleep), as shown in numerous trials [2-4].
