Use of a Rapid Qualitative Method to Inform the Development of a Text Messaging Intervention for People With Serious Mental Illness Who Smoke: Formative Research Study

Those interested in participating provided informed electronic consent (e-consent) before enrollment into the study. Electronic signatures were captured using the Research Electronic Data Capture e-consent framework. Participants received a US $15 Amazon electronic gift card for the study. This project was approved by the ethics review boards at the Department of Mental Health in Massachusetts and the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School (reference number: H00019687_3).
