Human papillomavirus (HPV) is the most common sexually transmitted infection (STI) worldwide, with the highest prevalence observed among young adults [1]. Persistent HPV infection can lead to various cancers, including cervical cancer, which remains a leading cause of cancer-related deaths among women aged 20-39 years [2]. Additionally, HPV is associated with oropharyngeal cancers, which are increasingly prevalent among men and tend to develop at younger ages compared to other HPV-related cancers [3].

One participant shared:
I look at [transition] as me having to know a lot about myself, especially where I am with my health. At the end of the day, my mother has to stop bringing me to the appointments, I can't bring her all the time, right? Because it’s that independent thing that comes in. So I think it’s just a learning experience about myself, learning about where I am with my health, knowing everything that I need to know for myself so I don't have to depend on anybody else to know it for me.

Lee with permission from the original author. The Korean version of the SC-CII is downloadable from a website [37]. The SC-CII measures three domains of self-care: self-care maintenance (8 items), self-care monitoring (5 items), and self-care management (7 items). Each item was scored using a 5-point Likert scale (1=never or not likely, 5=always or very likely) with total scores ranging from 0 to 100.

In other studies, the group that walked regularly, making walking a habitual activity, consisted predominantly of young female patients, regardless of their disease [28,29].
Regarding the comparison of biometric data between AWG and IWG, no variables demonstrated a significant difference in the extent of change between the baseline and the 6-month follow-up. Nevertheless, both walking groups showed significant improvement in HDL cholesterol.
