Potential Benefits and Harms of a Peer Support Social Network Service on the Internet for People With Depressive Tendencies: Qualitative Content Analysis and Social Network Analysis

Participants were required to list their diagnoses and medications, and these data were confirmed by a psychiatrist (C Uchida). SNS log files included access logs and data in “profiles,” “blogs,” “communities,” and “friends” (see Figure 1). “Friends” included data of the participant’s network of “friends” (see the Glossary in Multimedia Appendix 1). The questionnaire for the Internet survey included a total of 67 items related to characteristics, activities, and outcomes of four Web pages.
