Werner and Platt’s study [32] in Brazil also showed that intentionality was associated with hospitalization. For these high-risk children, early identification, close monitoring, and proactive intervention are essential to optimize treatment and reduce the severity and mortality of poisoning. More research is needed to refine and validate these factors to guide clinical practice and improve early management of acute drug poisoning.
