The first comprehensive review was conducted by Eisenhut et al [8] in August 2018, provided an initial analysis and functional categorization of mobile apps addressing VAWG through a systematic review . However, in 2024, approximately 1000 new apps are released daily on the Google Play Store alone [13]. The rapid development of new apps in recent years necessitates an updated review to capture recent innovations and emerging trends.

Cammel et al [38] used the pattern.nl package (trained on product reviews) to categorize their patient data but faced issues related to domain specificity; for instance, “disease” was classified as negative when, in this context, it should have been classified as neutral. By contrast, van Buchem et al [29] fine-tuned a pretrained bidirectional encoder representations from transformers (BERT) model with manually labeled data, achieving up to 97% accuracy.

Lee et al [39] roofed that technology-based goal setting helps people to advance the effectiveness of the number of steps.
By focusing on the construct Action Coping of the HAPA, the system could recommend specific “exergames” via smart TV to the user, focusing on their measured average number of weekly steps, and on days with unsuitable weather for outdoor activity. The findings of Rhodes et al [40] highlight the social aspects of exergaming.

A systematic review and meta-analysis by Di Lorito et al [46] found that such interventions can produce positive effects on cognitive abilities among people with MCI and dementia. Furthermore, Karakose et al [47] conducted a comprehensive bibliometric and science mapping analysis, revealing the evolving landscape of digital addiction research, which is pertinent to understanding user engagement with digital health tools.

Our protocol was developed using the scoping review methodological framework proposed by Arksey and O’Malley [39] and further refined by Peters et al [40].
The central research question guiding this review was as follows: “What are the most frequently reported risk factors associated with suicidal ideation in the psychology and mental health literature?”

In a recent meta-analysis by Armache et al [31], the readability of 1124 education materials for patients with head and neck cancer was evaluated that was produced by professional societies, hospitals, and other organizations intended to inform patients, promote their engagement, and enhance their adherence to treatment plans. The mean Flesch-Kincaid grade level of these materials ranged from 8.8 to 14.8, with none of them meeting the recommended sixth-grade readability standard.

In a review by Engelhardt et al [25], various models could forecast breast cancer outcomes, typically based on genetic risk scores, but only Adjuvant! Online factored in comorbidity status. Yet, none had been thoroughly validated in older adult populations.
