Guided Inhalation via Electronic Monitoring in Children With Uncontrolled Asthma (the IMAGINE Study): Randomized Controlled Trial

Guided Inhalation via Electronic Monitoring in Children With Uncontrolled Asthma (the IMAGINE Study): Randomized Controlled Trial

Given that therapy adherence and the inhalation technique followed at home cannot be reliably assessed during a hospital visit [20], home-based monitoring using smart inhalers offers a promising solution [21]. A randomized controlled trial demonstrated that electronic adherence monitoring with daily reminder alarms can enhance adherence, reduce the need for oral steroids, and decrease hospital admissions [22].

Adherence to Actigraphic Devices in Elementary School–Aged Children: Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis

Adherence to Actigraphic Devices in Elementary School–Aged Children: Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis

To date, no attempt has been made to quantify adherence data from studies of actigraphy in children. Adherence information is often available within attrition metrics, and systematic synthesis of these data may offer valuable insight into patterns of engagement across populations, protocols, and devices. Accordingly, the primary aim of this systematic review and meta-analysis is to pool the overall rate of children’s adherence to actigraphs.

Adherence to Usability and Accessibility Principles in Digital Health Applications for Patients With Diabetes: Systematic Review

Adherence to Usability and Accessibility Principles in Digital Health Applications for Patients With Diabetes: Systematic Review

A framework was created based specifically on the items included in DTAC [19] and the NICE DHG [20], where studies were scored on adherence (Table 3); each category was evaluated using a yes/no scoring system. The second reviewer checked 10% of the guideline scores against the full texts. The primary outcome of the systematic review was framework adherence scores for each diabetes digital health app included in the study using DTAC [19] and the NICE DHG [20].

Effectiveness of Smartwatch Device on Adherence to Home-Based Cardiac Rehabilitation in Patients With Coronary Heart Disease: Randomized Controlled Trial

Effectiveness of Smartwatch Device on Adherence to Home-Based Cardiac Rehabilitation in Patients With Coronary Heart Disease: Randomized Controlled Trial

However, the benefits of HBCR largely depend on long-term adherence. Previous studies have reported inconsistent findings regarding patients’ adherence to HBCR [8,9]. With the development of mobile health (m Health) technology, remote cardiac rehabilitation programs now use the capabilities of internet-connected devices, wearable monitors, smartphones, and smartwatches.

Technology-Assisted Physical Activity Interventions for Older People in Their Home-Based Environment: Scoping Review

Technology-Assisted Physical Activity Interventions for Older People in Their Home-Based Environment: Scoping Review

Adherence (attendance and duration) and dropout rates were expressed as a percentage of the relevant study population and compared against population and intervention characteristics (2 or more categories) using differential tests. In the case of a binomial category, an independent t test was used. The following categories and linear outcomes were compared: Participation outcomes (dropouts, adherence) versus Population (age groups, health status) and Intervention (group, tailoring, supervision).

Therapists’ Role in Patient Adherence to Internet-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy: Qualitative Study

Therapists’ Role in Patient Adherence to Internet-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy: Qualitative Study

In particular, dropout rates seem greater in self-guided i CBTs compared with therapist-assisted ones, suggesting that some level of therapist support enhances patient adherence. The notion that therapist assistance is crucial for successful therapy outcomes is supported by studies such as Richards and Richardson [18], which found that therapist support reduced dropout rates by 30%‐40%.

Using American Sign Language–Fluent Community Health Navigators to Advance Cancer Screening Adherence through Videoconferencing With Deaf, Deafblind, and Hard of Hearing Adults: Protocol for a Randomized Controlled Trial

A direct relationship between increased cancer knowledge and cancer screening adherence compared to the standard of care group. The protocol (IRB-FY21-120) was reviewed and approved by Gallaudet University’s Institutional Review Board (IRB) prior to recruitment.

User Archetypes of a Well-Being–Promoting Mobile App Among Adults: Cross-Sectional Study and Cluster Analysis of Usage Patterns

In addition, a web app without the group meetings was associated with increased physical activity and decreased sedentary time, but only among participants with good adherence to the intervention. The principal concept of the app is based on self-determination behavior change theory, which supports autonomous motivation and competence, emphasizing freedom of choice and drawing on users’ existing knowledge, skills, and habits [5].
