Convergent and Known-Groups Validity and Sensitivity to Change of the Virtual Performance Measure in Patients With Hip and Knee Osteoarthritis: Longitudinal Study

Convergent and Known-Groups Validity and Sensitivity to Change of the Virtual Performance Measure in Patients With Hip and Knee Osteoarthritis: Longitudinal Study

In 2023, a next-generation, innovative, virtual assessment tool—the Virtual Performance Measure (VPM)—was introduced [6]. The VPM replaced animated figures with human models and combined features of self-report and performance-based tools, creating an outcome measure that could be used remotely. The original studies by the developers have shown cross-sectional validity of the VPM in patients with hip and knee joint osteoarthritis [6,7].

Feasibility of a Comprehensive eCoach to Support Patients Undergoing Colorectal Surgery: Longitudinal Observational Study

Feasibility of a Comprehensive eCoach to Support Patients Undergoing Colorectal Surgery: Longitudinal Observational Study

Automated alerts were configured and managed by specialized virtual care nurses at the Isala Virtual Care Center. If required actions were not completed, an automated reminder was sent in the evening. Inactivity for more than 3 consecutive days triggered an alert to the virtual care nurse, who could then take appropriate action, such as sending a personal message, making a phone call, or reviewing the patient’s chart and deciding that no action was necessary.

Investigation of Study Procedures to Estimate Sensitivity and Reliability of a Virtual Physical Assessment Developed for Workplace Concussions: Method-Comparison Feasibility Study

Investigation of Study Procedures to Estimate Sensitivity and Reliability of a Virtual Physical Assessment Developed for Workplace Concussions: Method-Comparison Feasibility Study

The Virtual Concussion Exam Manual [31] was adapted and reviewed by all clinicians prior to their participation in the study. The manual contains clear instructions on administering clinical measures remotely. Clinicians were encouraged to consult the adapted manual for guidance while conducting study assessments. Each patient-participant completed both the in-person and remote assessment at TOHRC on the same day.

The Implementation of the Advocacy Intervention for Midlife and Older Women Who Have Experienced Intimate Partner Violence: Protocol for a Randomized Controlled Trial

All facilitators will take part in a virtual training session individually or in a group. The content of the AIM intervention was developed by LW, CM, and HH. A slideshow was developed by LW and provided to the rest of the study team for review. The slides were then translated to French to provide the training to francophone facilitators.

Perceptions of HIV-Related Comorbidities and Usability of a Virtual Environment for Cardiovascular Disease Prevention Education in Sexual Minority Men With HIV: Formative Phases of a Pilot Randomized Controlled Trial

Perceptions of HIV-Related Comorbidities and Usability of a Virtual Environment for Cardiovascular Disease Prevention Education in Sexual Minority Men With HIV: Formative Phases of a Pilot Randomized Controlled Trial

The health care and research enterprise has rapidly shifted toward ubiquitous computing as a common source of data collection for research (eg, electronic health records, artificial intelligence, wearables, mobile health, data processing via virtual environments, and augmented reality) [29-34]. Behavioral research using virtual environments and augmented reality has been gaining popularity [35-38].

Impact of a New Gynecologic Oncology Hashtag During Virtual-Only ASCO Annual Meetings: An X (Twitter) Social Network Analysis

Impact of a New Gynecologic Oncology Hashtag During Virtual-Only ASCO Annual Meetings: An X (Twitter) Social Network Analysis

Many meetings were canceled, and others became virtual. Going virtual has affected the use of Twitter during meetings. Beste et al [10] found that the number of tweets and Twitter users at a virtual conference compared to the previous year’s in-person meeting reflected the decline in the number of registrations between the 2 years. The American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) annual meeting has used its official hashtag, #ASCO, since 2011 [11].

Efficient Use of Biological Data in the Web 3.0 Era by Applying Nonfungible Token Technology

Efficient Use of Biological Data in the Web 3.0 Era by Applying Nonfungible Token Technology

The interaction of virtual reality makes personal data more widely collected and shared, and there are more potential unknown risks. In this situation, protecting personal privacy and data security has become crucial. Therefore, it is necessary to establish emerging ethical and legal norms to balance the relationship between technological development and individual rights.
