Although the data for England and Wales for the year ending March 2024 showed no statistically significant differences in the prevalence of domestic violence between ethnic groups [2], the literature shows that Black, Asian, and minority ethnic individuals experience multiple barriers in seeking help following abuse, including structural racism, cultural exclusion, and victim-blaming from both formal services and communities [13].
