Response: The statements on the impact of the COVID-19 vaccine on transmissibility were retracted in the manuscript due to insufficient evidence from the available data. Including this conclusive analysis will require data that captures COVID-19 daily cases and their vaccination status.

We performed an in silico analysis of the complete genomic sequences of the Omicron BA.1 variant available on the Global Initiative on Sharing Avian Influenza Data (GISAID) platform [16] with the primary objective of predicting the functional impact of the mutations present in this variant on virus-host interactions in terms of viral transmissibility, virulence, and immune-escape capabilities.
