Automated Pain Spots Recognition Algorithm Provided by a Web Service–Based Platform: Instrument Validation Study

Automated Pain Spots Recognition Algorithm Provided by a Web Service–Based Platform: Instrument Validation Study

The acquisition of paper PDs using the proposed platform has been demonstrated to be robust and reliable across a wide range of scanning devices. The accuracy of pain extent and location analysis consistently falls within the error measurement range of PDs. The use of the proposed algorithm will enable the use of PD analysis in various clinical settings.

Venous Access: National Guideline and Registry Development (VANGUARD): Advancing Patient-Centered Venous Access Care Through the Development of a National Coordinated Registry Network

For any meaningful comparison of clinical practices to be performed, there must be a reliable standard of truth available to measure performance. In the context of the studies described above, this requires a reliable anatomic standard for the description of catheter tip position and a reliable outcome measure for complications such as CRBSI. Currently, neither exists in general practice.

Incorporating Consumers’ Needs in Nutrition Apps to Promote and Maintain Use: Mixed Methods Study

Remarkably, quitting the use because the database was not reliable (1/38, 3%) was mentioned by only 1 participant. The fact that the app could not be personalized to the users’ needs or that it was difficult to keep track of personal progress were both not mentioned. The same holds for too many advertisements in the app or that it is unclear how the app works. Table 6 shows the most important reasons for not using a nutrition app, as answered by the group of nonusers.

A Multimodality Machine Learning Approach to Differentiate Severe and Nonsevere COVID-19: Model Development and Validation

A Multimodality Machine Learning Approach to Differentiate Severe and Nonsevere COVID-19: Model Development and Validation

The goal of this study is to provide reliable data-driven support for clinicians, even those who do not have comprehensive experience in diagnosing the emerging disease COVID-19. We aim to explore and contrast the distributions of clinical and laboratory testing features between nonsevere and severe COVID-19 types. We will identify key features that differ substantially between the two clinical types.
