Identifying Data-Driven Clinical Subgroups for Cervical Cancer Prevention With Machine Learning: Population-Based, External, and Diagnostic Validation Study

Identifying Data-Driven Clinical Subgroups for Cervical Cancer Prevention With Machine Learning: Population-Based, External, and Diagnostic Validation Study

After identifying CCP subgroups, we extracted CCP-specific risks of outcomes of interest (C) conditionally on all predefined and algorithmically selected features through weighted logistic regression analyses providing average odds ratio (OR) estimates. Additionally, we stratified individuals based on their key features to conduct subgroup analyses.

Association Among BMI, Self-Esteem, and Nonsuicidal Self-Injury in Young Adults to Understand the Influence of Socioenvironmental Factors: Longitudinal Study

Association Among BMI, Self-Esteem, and Nonsuicidal Self-Injury in Young Adults to Understand the Influence of Socioenvironmental Factors: Longitudinal Study

Table 2 presents the correlation between independent variables and depression symptoms through multilevel linear regression analyses. There was a significant relationship between different BMI and NSSI (β=.056); after controlling for covariates, these relationships were also significant. Furthermore, there was a significant relationship between self-esteem and NSSI (β=−.077); after controlling for covariates, this relationship was also significant.

Intention to Seek Mental Health Services During the 2022 Shanghai COVID-19 City-Wide Lockdown: Web-Based Cross-Sectional Study

Intention to Seek Mental Health Services During the 2022 Shanghai COVID-19 City-Wide Lockdown: Web-Based Cross-Sectional Study

Multivariable logistic regression analysis was performed to estimate the adjusted association between participants’ demographics and socioeconomic status, stressors experienced during lockdown, external support, physical and mental health, and their intention to use mental health services. These factors were chosen either as primary interests or based on previous research and our data indicating they are either potential confounders or effect modifiers.

Association Between Climatic Factors and Varicella Incidence in Wuxi, East China, 2010-2019: Surveillance Study

Association Between Climatic Factors and Varicella Incidence in Wuxi, East China, 2010-2019: Surveillance Study

To our knowledge, this is the first study to apply the Poisson GAM and the Piecewise Linear Regression Model to explore the relationship between 7 climate variables and the incidence of varicella in Wuxi, in East China’s Huadong Region. The GAM incorporates the following covariates: First, a smoothing term is generated using a thin plate spline function with a maximum degree of freedom of 6 to account for long-term trends in the disease number sequence.

Digital Maturity as a Predictor of Quality and Safety Outcomes in US Hospitals: Cross-Sectional Observational Study

Digital Maturity as a Predictor of Quality and Safety Outcomes in US Hospitals: Cross-Sectional Observational Study

Consequently, different types of regression modeling approaches were required to examine the associations between digital maturity levels (underdeveloped versus advanced) and The Leapfrog Group's Hospital Safety Grades, practices, and outcomes. The regression methodologies used in each case are described in the following paragraphs.

HIV Incidence and Transactional Sex Among Men Who Have Sex With Men in Ningbo, China: Prospective Cohort Study Using a WeChat-Based Platform

HIV Incidence and Transactional Sex Among Men Who Have Sex With Men in Ningbo, China: Prospective Cohort Study Using a WeChat-Based Platform

We used univariate and multivariate Cox proportional hazards regression to identify factors associated with HIV incidence. P values of This study was reviewed and approved by the ethics board of the Ningbo CDC (201908). Informed consent was obtained from each participant. Participants were given a cash gift of ¥50 (approximately US $7) after each survey visit as compensation for their time. All participants found to be HIV-positive were referred to treatment.

Relationship Between Product Features and the Prices of e-Cigarette Devices Sold in Web-Based Vape Shops: Comparison Study Using a Linear Regression Model

Relationship Between Product Features and the Prices of e-Cigarette Devices Sold in Web-Based Vape Shops: Comparison Study Using a Linear Regression Model

The following product attributes were selected for regression analysis: the number of containers (ie, tanks or pods or cartridges), container volume size (ie, maximum e-liquid capacity per tank, pod, or cartridge in m L), maximum output wattage (divided into 3 groups with each group comprising approximately one-third of the total observations: 5-39 W, 40-85 W, and more than 85 W), and battery capacity (divided into 3 groups: less than 900 m Ah, 900-1499 m Ah, and 1500 m Ah and more).

Characterizing Technology Use and Preferences for Health Communication in South Asian Immigrants With Prediabetes or Diabetes: Cross-Sectional Descriptive Study

Characterizing Technology Use and Preferences for Health Communication in South Asian Immigrants With Prediabetes or Diabetes: Cross-Sectional Descriptive Study

Table 3 provides a summary of the regression analysis to identify factors associated with an interest in receiving diabetes information. The significant factors associated with receiving information via text messaging included male sex, current unemployment, above high school education, and owning a smartphone or tablet.

Durability of the Effectiveness of Heterologous COVID-19 Vaccine Regimens in Thailand: Retrospective Cohort Study Using National Registration Data

Durability of the Effectiveness of Heterologous COVID-19 Vaccine Regimens in Thailand: Retrospective Cohort Study Using National Registration Data

The variables employed in our analysis (Table 1) were used in stratified cross-tabulation and logistic regression analyses. The outcome variables were severe COVID-19 (Y1) and death following COVID-19 (Y2). They were analyzed separately and reported. The exposure variable was the vaccine sequence, for which we included two 2-dose and five 3-dose regimens. Other vaccine sequences had small sample sizes and were omitted. In this study, 2 analytical methods were employed to evaluate VE.

N-of-1 Trials of Antimicrobial Stewardship Interventions to Optimize Antibiotic Prescribing for Upper Respiratory Tract Infection in Emergency Departments: Protocol for a Quasi-Experimental Study

We will analyze the data using segmented regression models. Segmented regression models allow adjustments to confounding factor and slope changes at various time points but do not account for cluster differences. The inclusion of cluster differences will increase the robustness of the model [29].
