Endometriosis is characterized by lesions occurring outside the uterus whose appearance and behaviors are close to those of the endometrium mainly on the pelvic peritoneum, ovaries, and rectovaginal septum [1]. It might also reach deeper tissues, such as the rectum, bladder, ureters, colon, small bowel, diaphragm, or pelvic nerves.
