User-Centered Design and Evaluation of Clinical Decision Support to Improve Early Peanut Introduction: Formative Study

Peanut allergy is by some reports the most common food allergy among children [1,2], with most recent data showing between 2% to 5% prevalence [3,4]. The prevalence of peanut allergy has nearly doubled in the past decades, posing a growing public health concern [5-7]. Unlike many other types of food allergies, peanut allergy is rarely outgrown [8,9], leading to lifelong impact. Up to 60% of children with peanut allergy experience a severe allergic reaction [3,10-12].
