A Digital Program for Daily Life Management With Endometriosis: Pilot Cohort Study on Symptoms and Quality of Life Among Participants

A Digital Program for Daily Life Management With Endometriosis: Pilot Cohort Study on Symptoms and Quality of Life Among Participants

It started with a section on knowledge of the disease, with an introduction to the program and the multidisciplinary approach. Psychoeducation was focused on defining the disorder, its causes, and its impacts. It helped the participant generate a model of their disorder and pain to obtain a representation of a functional analysis of the factors perpetuating the symptoms.

Multidisciplinary Design–Based Multimodal Virtual Reality Simulation in Nursing Education: Mixed Methods Study

Multidisciplinary Design–Based Multimodal Virtual Reality Simulation in Nursing Education: Mixed Methods Study

Despite significant advancements in IT and a growing interest in immersive content, little research exists on multidisciplinary design models for immersive education and the feasibility of design model-based content [7-9]. This study aimed to systematically develop 3 D nursing simulation content based on a VR educational design model and the National League for Nursing (NLN) Jeffries Simulation Theory. It also conducted user tests to evaluate its feasibility in nursing education.

Data Visualization Support for Tumor Boards and Clinical Oncology: Protocol for a Scoping Review

Data Visualization Support for Tumor Boards and Clinical Oncology: Protocol for a Scoping Review

Multidisciplinary team interventions, and especially tumor boards (or multidisciplinary cancer conferences [MCCs]) have been shown to significantly improve the quality of cancer care [1-3]. Complex, multimodal, and ever-growing data sets in multidisciplinary settings present special challenges when it comes to data visualization [4].

Transfer of Knowledge on Pneumoconiosis Care Among Rural-Based Members of a Digital Community of Practice: Cross-Sectional Study

Transfer of Knowledge on Pneumoconiosis Care Among Rural-Based Members of a Digital Community of Practice: Cross-Sectional Study

While the number of miners requiring specialized care has increased, multidisciplinary expertise and access to complex care for pneumoconiosis have decreased in rural areas [10]. Compared with urban residents, residents of rural areas have less access to outpatient pulmonary rehabilitation [11] or pulmonologist services [12].

Cocreation to Facilitate Communication and Collaboration Between Multidisciplinary Stakeholders in eHealth Research and Development: Case Study of the CARRIER (Coronary Artery Disease: Risk Estimations and Interventions for Prevention and Early Detection) Consortium

Cocreation to Facilitate Communication and Collaboration Between Multidisciplinary Stakeholders in eHealth Research and Development: Case Study of the CARRIER (Coronary Artery Disease: Risk Estimations and Interventions for Prevention and Early Detection) Consortium

For that reason, multidisciplinary collaboration is considered fundamental to the advancement of e Health R&D [9,12]. Nevertheless, multidisciplinary collaboration does not occur effortlessly or without barriers as stakeholders may have contrasting levels of power and interest, which can lead to different objectives, priorities, and expectations [11,13,14].

A Natural Language Processing Model for COVID-19 Detection Based on Dutch General Practice Electronic Health Records by Using Bidirectional Encoder Representations From Transformers: Development and Validation Study

A Natural Language Processing Model for COVID-19 Detection Based on Dutch General Practice Electronic Health Records by Using Bidirectional Encoder Representations From Transformers: Development and Validation Study

We showed the power of multidisciplinary efforts in harnessing technology for disease identification. Model development and validation should adopt a transparent and explainable approach that includes stakeholder involvement (including clinicians and other end users). This will not only ensure the model’s relevance and usability in real-world settings but also help ensure the development and validation of AI models in a manner that maximizes their impact on public health and outbreak management.

The Effect of Adjunct Telephone Support on Adherence and Outcomes of the Reboot Online Pain Management Program: Randomized Controlled Trial

The Effect of Adjunct Telephone Support on Adherence and Outcomes of the Reboot Online Pain Management Program: Randomized Controlled Trial

The accepted best practice for managing chronic pain is a multidisciplinary pain program that involves attending a group program—typically convened face to face at a hospital or clinical site—facilitated by members of a multidisciplinary team [5]. A main challenge to the management of chronic pain is the lack of services available within existing health care systems.
