Validity of a Smartphone App to Objectively Monitor Performance Outcomes in Degenerative Cervical Myelopathy: Preliminary Findings From a Longitudinal Observational Study

Validity of a Smartphone App to Objectively Monitor Performance Outcomes in Degenerative Cervical Myelopathy: Preliminary Findings From a Longitudinal Observational Study

Today, monitoring relies on qualitative outcome measures: classifications based on a hierarchy of exemplar functions, such as questionnaires or item selection. While qualitative tools can be robust, valid, and even performed by the patient remotely, their limited granularity and intrinsic subjectivity mean they lack accurate and responsive discrimination of small but significant changes, particularly for fluctuating diseases [8].

Clinician-Prioritized Measures to Use in a Remote Concussion Assessment: Delphi Study

Clinician-Prioritized Measures to Use in a Remote Concussion Assessment: Delphi Study

Importantly, consensus does not indicate that the measures selected are the correct measures to use in a concussion assessment. Rather, the results from the consensus act to structure follow-up discussions (in working groups) and inform subsequent decisions [10]. Previous work has used the Delphi approach to identify clinical measures in various populations.

Development and Validation of a Mobile-Centered Digital Health Readiness Scale (mDiHERS): Health Literacy and Equity Scale

Development and Validation of a Mobile-Centered Digital Health Readiness Scale (mDiHERS): Health Literacy and Equity Scale

Therefore, our study developed measures to assess health equity based on digital literacy. Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), encompassing Crohn disease and ulcerative colitis, is characterized by chronic digestive tract inflammation. This condition leads to a range of symptoms that significantly impact the quality of life [18]. The persistent symptoms and activity of IBD, even with the best medical or surgical interventions, highlight the critical need for ongoing surveillance and management [19].

Application of Failure Mode and Effects Analysis to Improve the Quality of the Front Page of Electronic Medical Records in China: Cross-Sectional Data Mapping Analysis

Application of Failure Mode and Effects Analysis to Improve the Quality of the Front Page of Electronic Medical Records in China: Cross-Sectional Data Mapping Analysis

The purpose of this study was to identify the possible failures in the front page data of the EMR and their causes and effects and to propose specific improvement measures to minimize errors. Moreover, we aimed to compare the EMRs before and after introducing the measures to verify the efficacy of the improvement measures. For this, we reviewed previous relevant literature through Pub Med, Embase, Web of Science, and Cochrane Library.

Understanding Intersectional Ageism and Stigma of Dementia: Protocol for a Scoping Review

Understanding Intersectional Ageism and Stigma of Dementia: Protocol for a Scoping Review

Any intervention designed to mitigate the combined effect of ageism and stigma of dementia requires knowledge of the core definitions, indicators, and measures used to track and evaluate their outcomes. Currently, there is a paucity of literature and no scoping review examining both ageism and stigma. However, a review is necessary to provide evidence-informed research of key measures to identify, monitor, and evaluate the impact of ageism and stigma of dementia.

Resilience in 2021—Descriptive Analysis of Individuals Accessing Virtual Mental Health Services: Retrospective Observational Study

Resilience in 2021—Descriptive Analysis of Individuals Accessing Virtual Mental Health Services: Retrospective Observational Study

This measure was selected due to behavioral health coaching’s focus on building resilience and its strength-based focus in contrast to more traditional symptom measures, such as the PHQ-9 and the GAD-7. The CD-RISC 10 was sent to members 1 week after they signed up, and a follow-up survey was sent to members every 30 days. Importantly, members who signed up but did not engage with the app past the 1-week mark did not complete the baseline survey.

Exploring the Health-Related Quality of Life of Patients Treated With Immune Checkpoint Inhibitors: Social Media Study

Exploring the Health-Related Quality of Life of Patients Treated With Immune Checkpoint Inhibitors: Social Media Study

“Associated HRQo L domains” were grouped considering the classification of domains provided in existing measures (ie, the EORTC QLQ-C30 and the FACT-G). For each domain, “associated subdomains” mentioned by patients were also collected even if not included in standard measures in order to allow new subdomains to emerge. The EORTC QLQ-C30 [6] and the FACT-G [7] are among the most widely used questionnaires to capture HRQo L of patients with cancer in research and clinical settings [24,25].

Social Media and Social Functioning in Psychosis: A Systematic Review

Social Media and Social Functioning in Psychosis: A Systematic Review

The objective dimension encompasses the ability to meet social roles, such as employability and being a spouse, a family member, or a friend, combined with socioeconomic measures, such as finances and housing [20]. These measures are easily quantifiable and can thus be replicated [20]. The subjective dimension comprises self-reported measures of social roles and measures of satisfaction with family life, recreational activities, and life as a whole [20].
