Depression Self-Care Apps’ Characteristics and Applicability to Older Adults: Systematic Assessment
They may also need bigger fonts, and louder and clearer audio to address potential visual or hearing impairments [35].
Therefore, the initial aim of this assessment was to systematically identify interactive depression self-care apps specifically designed for older adults. As we did not find any, we assessed the applicability of existing depression self-care apps to the needs of older adult users. We focused on English and Chinese app markets as they represent 31% of the world population [36].

Codeveloping an Online Resource for People Bereaved by Suicide: Mixed Methods User-Centered Study
Suicide bereavement is highly distressing and is associated with an increased risk for suicidal behaviors, as well as mental and physical health impairments [3,4]. Nevertheless, those affected by suicide bereavement encounter unmet needs, including difficulties accessing informal or formal support after their bereavement [4,5]. The social stigma surrounding suicidal behaviors and bereavement is associated with high levels of loneliness and lack of social support [6].

ADHD is characterized by developmentally inappropriate and impairing inattentiveness that may include hyperactive or impulsive behavior, highly associated with executive function deficits that cause impairments in school and difficulties with social interactions [2,3].
People with moderate to severe ADHD are commonly medicated with stimulants or nonstimulants [4], with stimulant treatment being more common due to larger effect sizes and less side effects [5].

However, timely detection of stress is often challenging due to communication impairments commonly observed in LTC residents with dementia and residents with ID, limiting their ability to express themselves in ways that are recognizable for their caregivers.
Technology can play a vital role in assisting caregivers to detect stress in people who have difficulties expressing themselves.
