Measurement of Head Circumference Using a Smartphone: Feasibility Cohort Study

HC outside the normal range may indicate a brain development disorder, hydrocephalus, or an intracranial mass lesion. The growth pattern of HC, determined from serial measurements, provides valuable clinical information; for example, changes in HC are used to help determine whether hydrocephalus needs treatment and is predictive of neurodevelopmental outcomes [1]. The importance of HC measurement is recognized worldwide.
