Longitudinal Changes in Pitch-Related Acoustic Characteristics of the Voice Throughout the Menstrual Cycle: Observational Study

Days prior to this were classified as “follicular,” corresponding to the follicular phase in the menstrual cycle, and days following ovulation classification and occurring prior to menstruation were classified as “luteal.” Recordings collected while participants were menstruating were labeled “menstrual.” BBT was used to verify the likelihood that ovulation occurred through a sustained 0.3 °C increase in the days following the suspected ovulation day.
