Blood Bonds: Transforming Blood Donation Through Innovation, Inclusion, and Engagement
Broadening the donor pool and enhancing retention efforts are essential to mitigating blood shortages. Concerns about cybersecurity, usability, and cost-effectiveness were raised [7]. A 2022 survey in the United States supported telemedicine’s convenience for improving access to and coordination of living donor evaluation. However, participants expressed less confidence in removing regulatory office barriers.
