In the United Kingdom, 17.2% of the population were recorded as disabled in 2020, but represented 59.5% of all UK COVID-19 deaths up to November 2020 [8]. Similarly, although 13% of the UK population are from minoritized ethnic backgrounds, they represented 33% of critically ill COVID-19 patients between February and August 2020 [5,6].
