Epithelioid Hemangioendothelioma as a Dangerous, Easy to Miss, and Nearly Impossible to Clinically Diagnose Condition: Case Report

Epithelioid Hemangioendothelioma as a Dangerous, Easy to Miss, and Nearly Impossible to Clinically Diagnose Condition: Case Report

Primary cutaneous EHE is rare and should prompt suspicion of metastatic disease, especially if multifocal in the skin [4]. Owing to their rarity and similarities to other diagnoses, cutaneous EHE lesions are commonly misdiagnosed [5]. Previous studies suggest the diagnosis of strictly cutaneous EHE incurs a 17% mortality rate at 3 years, highlighting its relatively aggressive nature [6].

Exploring the Perspectives of Patients Living With Lupus: Retrospective Social Listening Study

Cutaneous lupus erythematosus (CLE) can manifest as either a feature of SLE or an independent skin ailment [4,5]. The most prevalent symptoms of CLE include rashes, hair loss, blood vessel inflammation, ulcers, and increased sensitivity to light [6,7]. Living with these symptoms can be physically debilitating for patients and can disrupt their family, social, and professional life, thereby negatively impacting their health-related quality of life (HRQo L) [8,9].

From the Cochrane Library: Interventions for Cutaneous Molluscum Contagiosum

Molluscum contagiosum (MC) is a cutaneous and mucosal condition that primarily affects children and immunocompromised adults. It presents with skin-colored, dome-shaped papules on the skin and may be associated with pain, pruritus, erythema, and, rarely, bacterial superinfection. Although spontaneous resolution generally occurs, treatment may be indicated for cosmetic purposes or to prevent spread.
