Evaluation of Eligibility Criteria Relevance for the Purpose of IT-Supported Trial Recruitment: Descriptive Quantitative Analysis

Evaluation of Eligibility Criteria Relevance for the Purpose of IT-Supported Trial Recruitment: Descriptive Quantitative Analysis

An important part of planning a CT is to define criteria that all participants must meet. The main goal of these inclusion—and exclusion—or eligibility criteria (EC) is to specify the CT’s target population (ie, patients who have specific conditions and might benefit from the studied therapy). EC are also used to minimize disruptive factors that are under suspicion to interfere with the CT objectives. Additionally, EC consider individuals for whom a CT could pose a health risk, such as pregnant women.

Harnessing the Electronic Health Care Record to Optimize Patient Safety in Primary Care: Framework for Evaluating e–Safety-Netting Tools

Harnessing the Electronic Health Care Record to Optimize Patient Safety in Primary Care: Framework for Evaluating e–Safety-Netting Tools

We also outline an emergent framework of criteria for e–safety-netting tools that can be used to facilitate evaluation and outcome measurement [12]. The management of diagnostic uncertainty in primary care is a part of every primary care physician’s role [13]. Safety-netting mitigates the risks associated with some techniques, thereby allowing physicians to manage diagnostic uncertainty.

The Criteria People Use in Relevance Decisions on Health Information: An Analysis of User Eye Movements When Browsing a Health Discussion Forum

This section reviews 3 areas of research: studies of relevance criteria, studies of information behavior using eye tracker systems, and factors influencing the Web-based health information behavior. Relevance criteria are factors that contribute to users’ relevance judgments [10]. They can also be thought of as the clues that people look for to infer relevance [11].
