Changes in Reproductive Health Information-Seeking Behaviors After the Dobbs Decision: Systematic Search of the Wikimedia Database

Given the widespread use of Wikipedia as a source of health information for health professionals, students, and patients alike [18,19], we sought to explore viewing trends on Wikipedia pages about abortion policies, medical and surgical abortion, and contraceptive options after the Dobbs decision. We hypothesized that Wikipedia is used to obtain reproductive health information more after the Dobbs decision and more in restrictive states. A total of 89 Wikipedia articles were examined for this study.

Contraceptive use also needs to be monitored to study its long-term effects, particularly in view of recent studies looking into an association between hormonal contraceptive use and a wide range of indicators such as ectopic pregnancy, pancreatic cancer, and depression [9-11]. Web-Based Survey Piloting Process as a Model for Developing and Testing Past Contraceptive Use and Pregnancy History: Cystic Fibrosis Case Study

Contraceptive use remains one of the key ways to prevent unintended pregnancies. However, data are limited regarding its safety and efficacy in persons living with CF [8]. The US Medical Eligibility for Contraceptive Use (MEC), a national contraceptive guideline for health care providers, includes over 1800 recommendations for more than 60 conditions and characteristics, as well as information on certain drug interactions [9].
