In total, 20 participants used the app on their own Android smartphone, and 12 were provided with a smartphone (Samsung A70) due to the absence of an i OS version of the app at the time. Outpatients were asked to use the bw Health App system as much as possible to evaluate the use in everyday life between therapy sessions. The app could be accessed with anonymized login credentials, starting at the dashboard (Figure 2). The app sent push notifications as reminders to complete the e PROs and use the wearables.

An Information App (e-TOP) to Support Parents’ Information Needs During the First Year at Home After Preterm Birth: Development and Usability Study

We used them as a guideline for the further development of the e-TOP app. Results of focus group meetings. Reliable and user-friendly digital source aligns well with the needs of young parents. An app can offer practical guidance to support everyday care. Given the limited experience of general practitioners and Dutch health services with prematurity, the app could also be a valuable source. Participants expressed curiosity and recognized the usefulness of an app in addressing their concerns.

It is a smartphone app for children aged 7‐12 years that facilitates psychoeducation and graded exposures, the main active ingredient of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Graded exposure is included in the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) recommendations for supporting children to manage their worries [20]. The app is recommended by NICE (Early Value Assessment [EVA]) as a first-line treatment option for anxiety in children while further real-world evidence is generated.

It provides users with information about cannabis, gives out supportive messages to help them change their cannabis use, helps schedule a cannabis weaning plan, and allows access to an online discussion forum. Encouragingly, preliminary studies indicate users find this app useful [9].
