Participants were recruited through instant messaging tools (Whats App [Meta]) and email. In the first iteration, psychologists, mindfulness, and communication experts tested and gave feedback on the prototype to ensure that the intervention program was logically built. Participants were given oral and written information about the study and provided written informed consent before user testing. At this stage, the Personas methodology was also found useful.

The Impact of WhatsApp as a Health Education Tool in Albinism: Interventional Study

Among the apps employed in digital health education interventions, Whats App holds a unique position. It is a messenger app that enables users to make voice calls and send instant messages, photos, videos, and voice messages over the internet [10]. In contrast to the original text messaging function on mobile phones, Whats App allows users to send and receive messages at no cost per message [11].

Use and Acceptance of Digital Communication Technology by Older Adults for Social Connectedness During the COVID-19 Pandemic: Mixed Methods Study

Use and Acceptance of Digital Communication Technology by Older Adults for Social Connectedness During the COVID-19 Pandemic: Mixed Methods Study

Videoconferencing apps accounted for most of the positive PU ratings, with the majority (n=22, 88%) of the participants reporting benefits from these apps (eg, Whats App, Zoom). Although the use of these tools did not measure up to in-person activities for older adults, they allowed engagement with friends and family during the pandemic, which was valuable to the participants. I love the quick and easy on-demand nature.
