Preliminary Feasibility of a Novel Mind-Body Program to Prevent Persistent Concussion Symptoms Among Young Adults With Anxiety: Nonrandomized Open Pilot Study

Preliminary Feasibility of a Novel Mind-Body Program to Prevent Persistent Concussion Symptoms Among Young Adults With Anxiety: Nonrandomized Open Pilot Study

We used proportions and descriptive statistics to calculate preliminary a priori feasibility benchmarks (Table 2), consistent with Greenberg et al [25], Mace et al [27], and Vranceanu et al [17]. We calculated a preliminary signal of improvement in outcomes and intervention targets using 2-tailed paired t tests between pre- and postinterventions time points in addition to preintervention and follow-up time points. The small sample size inherently entails low statistical power.

A Mind-Body Physical Activity Program for Chronic Pain With or Without a Digital Monitoring Device: Proof-of-Concept Feasibility Randomized Controlled Trial

A Mind-Body Physical Activity Program for Chronic Pain With or Without a Digital Monitoring Device: Proof-of-Concept Feasibility Randomized Controlled Trial

Details can be found in the study by Greenberg et al [23]. Briefly, before each session, a staff member downloaded the participants’ Fitbit data from the past week, calculated the participants’ step goals for the upcoming week, and provided the study clinician with individual adherence data for each participant, which were discussed during the session. If participants reached their weekly goal, they could choose whether to repeat it for the following week or increase it by 10% [31,32].
