Patterns of Missing Data With Ecological Momentary Assessment Among People Who Use Drugs: Feasibility Study Using Pilot Study Data

Motivated by validity concerns, a large body of literature examines EMA compliance or response rates to EMA questions. With respect to PWUD, a recent meta-analysis included 126 EMA-based studies [10]. Although the authors reported a wide range of compliance rates of 40%-100%, they concluded that EMA is largely feasible among this population, as 75% of all EMA prompts were answered on average [10].
