To refine the features of the prototype, patient representatives with rheumatic diseases were invited to participate in a workshop. They were members of the patient advisory board at the hospital where recruitment took place. The workshop was led by a team member who is a specialist in e Health app development. The workshop included a short introduction, individual reflection, and discussion.

A growing body of evidence indicates positive effects of e Health services on patient health outcomes [6-9]. For example, telehealth is regarded as a safe option for delivery of self-management support [10], and internet-delivered cognitive behavioral therapy (ICBT) has shown promising results as an alternative to traditional face-to-face interventions among persons with chronic health illnesses [3].
