Methodological Issues in Using a Common Data Model of COVID-19 Vaccine Uptake and Important Adverse Events of Interest: Feasibility Study of Data and Connectivity COVID-19 Vaccines Pharmacovigilance in the United Kingdom

We reported vaccine exposure using SNOMED CT for vaccine administration and Dictionary of Medicines and Devices (dm+d; National Health Service [NHS]) codes for vaccine prescriptions; dm+d is a dictionary of descriptions and codes which represent medicines and devices in use across the NHS. Each national team validated these mappings and any differences between the terms they would use to represent each concept discussed with a decision made by consensus.
