A Multifaceted Intervention to Improve Medication Adherence in Kidney Transplant Recipients: An Exploratory Analysis of the Fidelity of the TAKE IT Trial

During this second step, a number of brief assessments seek to “phenotype” the presenting barrier(s) to further inform a transplant center’s response and deployment of resources. Thus, the monthly survey not only identifies patients at risk of inadequate adherence but also categorizes the nature of adherence concerns into the following: cognitive, psychological, medical, regimen, social, and economic (Figure 1).
