Taken together, this study examines OHI and e Health literacy among a diverse understudied population (ie, SD Latino adults). Further, the study provides a preliminary look at possible associations among sociodemographic characteristics, PHM constructs, OHI seeking, and e Health literacy through an innovative examination within the literature.

With the wealth of health information that exists on the Internet, this complex task requires far more interpretive and demonstrative skill than simply being able to enter a medical condition or term into an Internet search engine such as Google or Bing. For example, when using the Internet as a medical education resource, consumers should know how to critically examine and discriminate between primary and secondary sources of health information posted on a website [13].
