Web-Based Self-management Program (SPACE for COPD) for Individuals Hospitalized With an Acute Exacerbation of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease: Nonrandomized Feasibility Trial of Acceptability

Web-Based Self-management Program (SPACE for COPD) for Individuals Hospitalized With an Acute Exacerbation of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease: Nonrandomized Feasibility Trial of Acceptability

The program was described in detail by Chaplin et al [27]. In stage 2, patients were asked to record their aerobic walking exercise, and for this study, we devised a symptom diary that linked to the patients’ individual exacerbation action plan. The web-based program usually takes approximately 11 weeks to complete for patients with stable COPD [27], although this patient cohort had access for 1 year, to promote long-term behavior change and maintenance. However, the outcomes were assessed at 6 months.
