Participants who attempted training were more likely to have sought sex partners in the preceding year (OR 2.20, 95% CI 1.14-4.25, P=.02), especially through the use of location-based networking apps (OR 2.13, 95% CI 1.31-3.49, P=.002), but not in local saunas (OR 0.46, 95% CI 0.24-0.87, P=.02) (Table 3).

The plate was incubated at 4° C for 2 hours, and 150 μl of the eluate was subsequently used as the specimen for testing. Eluted DBS was separately tested for HIV and syphilis antibody using a commercial ELISA kit (Murex HIV AG/Ab Combo and Murex ICE-Syphilis, Dia Sorin, Saluggia VC, Italy, respectively) following the manufacturers’ instructions. CT and NG nucleic acid amplification tests were performed on 3 types of specimens, namely, urine, rectal swabs, and pharyngeal swabs.

Higher learnability was scored by MSM who used social media for sex networking (P=.02), preferred sex partners to be of the “cute” body image type (P=.009), never had sex with a female individual (P=.04), and gave more correct answers in HIV-related knowledge (P=.005) (Table 2).
