Integrating Nurse Preferences Into AI-Based Scheduling Systems: Qualitative Study
For stable shift planning incorporating preferences as constraints, 2 primary methods are used: mixed-integer programming (MIP) and constraint programming (CP). MIP addresses optimization problems with both continuous and discrete decision variables, making it suitable for scenarios where scheduling decisions must meet linear constraints and objectives [24].

Spastic disorders are the most common type of CP that affects motor activities essential for activities of daily living (ADL) [3]. Treatment of CP spastic disorders includes pharmacological medications (oral and injected), surgical therapy, and nonpharmacological therapy (ie, rehabilitation or constraint-induced movement therapy [13,14]). Pharmacological medications with different mechanisms of action can be used to reduce spasticity in children with CP.

Telehealth and Remote Interventions for Children With Cerebral Palsy: Scoping Review
CP is also classified according to affected body areas as unilateral (hemiplegia) or bilateral (diplegia or quadriplegia, affecting predominantly lower limbs or all 4 limbs, respectively).
CP can be further classified by neurological pattern as dystonic, dyskinetic, ataxic, and mixed [3]. In 70% of cases, CP predominantly causes spasticity—increased muscle tone or tightness due to prolonged contraction.

Acupuncture for Children with Cerebral Palsy: A Systematic Review Protocol
Cerebral palsy (CP), the most common chronic disability of childhood, encompasses a heterogeneous group of movement and posture disorders that originate in the developing fetal or infant brain [1,2]. Epidemiological studies have found that the global prevalence of CP is 1.5-4 per 1000 live births, and the prevalence is higher in poor areas [3,4]. For example, with a prevalence of 3.6 per 1000 newborns in the United States, more than one hundred thousand children are affected in this country alone [5].
