Details of the validation study can be found in the study by Svensson et al [12]. No restrictions for sleep or activity were imposed on the participants. Sleep measures in this study were obtained using the validated portable single-channel EEG system (Sleep Scope, Sleep Well Co, Ltd.; the device is described in greater detail later). Participants were asked to use the device every night throughout the study period.
