Despite proven effective medical therapies, chronic heart failure with reduced ejection fraction (HFr EF) has a prognosis worse than most cancers [1] and accounts for a substantial health-economic burden [2]. A major driver of these high costs is frequent clinical decompensations requiring emergency department (ED) attendance and urgent hospital admissions [3]; reducing these is a primary target for remote monitoring (RM) interventions [4,5].
