Defining the Pre-exposure Prophylaxis Care Continuum Among Recently Incarcerated Men at High Risk for HIV Infection: Protocol for a Prospective Cohort Study

A Pr EP care continuum is a useful conceptual tool for identifying facilitators and barriers to Pr EP use, adherence, retention, and persistence in Pr EP care [31]. In this article, we propose a modified Pr EP care continuum for criminal justice–involved populations and then describe an approach to implementing and assessing Pr EP care among criminal justice–involved men at high risk of HIV infection.

The site was originally developed using a thorough user-centered design research process [57] conducted among GBM across the United States but concentrated in the northeastern United States. It primarily uses a wizard navigation pattern in which users are guided through a series of sections and activities with progressive disclosure rather than the typical explorative hierarchy of pages.

Thus, this research involved conducting 2 substudies: a usability study and a UX study. In the usability study (n=10), we conducted detailed individual interviews in which participants walked through a prototype version of the redesigned site to record their thoughts and reactions to the content and note any usability issues that arose. After the interview, these participants also completed a follow-up questionnaire to rate their perceptions of the site.

HIV Clustering in Mississippi: Spatial Epidemiological Study to Inform Implementation Science in the Deep South

HIV Clustering in Mississippi: Spatial Epidemiological Study to Inform Implementation Science in the Deep South

Among the 3410 reported cases, 2732 (80.12%) had a census tract of residence identified (ie, geocoded). In comparative analyses, we did not find any significant differences between reported cases that had a census tract of residence versus those that did not. Cases identified in prisons and decedent cases were excluded from the dataset, resulting in a total of 2048 cases.
