Users’ Perspectives of Direct-to-Consumer Telemedicine Services: Survey Study

Users’ Perspectives of Direct-to-Consumer Telemedicine Services: Survey Study

This includes a new model of DTC telemedicine service, one that is largely asynchronous, may be paid for by consumers on a subscription basis, and is organized around providing medication or treatments for a particular condition or type of issue (eg, men’s health, sexual and reproductive health, skin conditions, and weight loss) [8,9,16].

The Unintended Consequences of Telehealth in Australia: Critical Interpretive Synthesis

The Unintended Consequences of Telehealth in Australia: Critical Interpretive Synthesis

We focused our review on studies conducted within Australia to provide a picture of unintended consequences within a single, contained health care system. Health systems vary across different countries in terms of structure, funding models, and policies, but Australia represents a high-income country with a well-resourced hybrid health system that deals with fragmentation and challenges similar to those in comparable international health systems [18], making our findings relevant to such systems.

Help-Seeking, Support, and Engagement in Gestational Diabetes Mellitus Online Communities on Facebook: Content Analysis

As a condition, it affects a significant and growing proportion of pregnant women around the world each year [5]. Although GDM prevalence has drastically risen, there has been limited examination of the attendant growth of GDM online communities, including Facebook groups [6].

The Science of Learning Health Systems: Scoping Review of Empirical Research

The Science of Learning Health Systems: Scoping Review of Empirical Research

The concept of a learning health system (LHS) was first formally discussed at a Roundtable on Evidence-Based Medicine in 2007 [5]. There is now widespread recognition that what is needed is a health care system that “consistently delivers reliable performance and constantly improves, systematically and seamlessly, with each care experience—in short, a system with an ability to learn” [6].

The Application of e-Mental Health in Response to COVID-19: Scoping Review and Bibliometric Analysis

Cite Score metrics were used rather than the Journal Impact Factor, as Cite Score values give “a more comprehensive, transparent, and current view of a journal’s impact” (page 941 of Roldan-Valadez et al) [38], and they are provided for many more journals than the Journal Impact Factor.

Implementation of Electronic Medical Records in Mental Health Settings: Scoping Review

Implementation of Electronic Medical Records in Mental Health Settings: Scoping Review

A notable example includes the implementation of a £200 million EMR system in a major UK teaching hospital, leading to reduced performance and demoralized staff [9]. Poor usability of EMRs can impact quality of care and patient safety, as poor fit and design may cause fatigue, delayed case note entry, and adjacency errors [10].

Monitoring Health and Well-Being in Emerging Adults: Protocol for a Pilot Longitudinal Cohort Study

Monitoring Health and Well-Being in Emerging Adults: Protocol for a Pilot Longitudinal Cohort Study

Thus, conducting a large, longitudinal cohort study with a comprehensive set of measures would be a unique and valuable resource for improving our understanding of education, health, and lifestyle factors and their impact on resilience, career trajectories, and lived experiences over a unique segment of an individual’s life course.
