A Smartphone Intervention to Promote a Sustainable Healthy Diet: Protocol for a Pilot Study
The text messages will be distributed on 2 nonconsecutive days per week, that is, Tuesdays and Fridays, through the General Data Protection Regulation–compliant app m-Path [35] (the same app will be used for implementing the evaluations; refer to the next section, Measurements). An in-person meeting with each of the participants will be set on their first day in the study to help them install the app on their mobile phones and provide training if needed.

Describing the Process of Adopting Nutrition and Fitness Apps: Behavior Stage Model Approach
BMI ranged from 16.77 to 42.45 kg/m² (mean 24.21 [SD 3.63]). The majority of participants had a university entrance diploma (71.26%, 858/1204), and 53.16% (640/1204) had a university degree. Compared with the German population, the sample consisted of 13.7% more females, was 3.19 years younger, and had a lower BMI by 1.69 points [64,65].
