A small observational pilot of the GEMA method was reported by Theall et al [66]. Detailed methods and full (N=89) aim-1 GEMA findings are forthcoming. As a nested, microlongitudinal study, aim 1 recruited and used the baseline and medical record data of a subset of participants already enrolled in the New Orleans area longitudinal New Orleans Alcohol Use in HIV cohort study [72,73].
