A Mobile App to Enhance Behavioral Activation Treatment for Substance Use Disorder: App Design, Use, and Integration Into Treatment in the Context of a Randomized Controlled Trial

Two-tailed paired-sample t tests were used to examine the differences in the mean ratings for app usefulness across components. The reasons for not using each app component and reasons for low weekly use of the app were also summarized. Of the 56 participants who received a smartphone, 21 (38%) were women. Overall, 61% (34/56) of participants were White and 38% (21/56) were Black.
