Consumer Perspectives for a Future Mobile App to Document Real-World Listening Difficulties: Qualitative Study

Furthermore, a meta-analysis [8] indicated that hearing aid use decreases the risk of long-term cognitive decline and is associated with improved general cognition scores in the short term. Despite the clear and wide-ranging benefits of hearing aids, many individuals choose either not to obtain them or not to use them [9,10].

Combining Farmers’ Preferences With Evidence-Based Strategies to Prevent and Lower Farmers’ Distress: Co-design and Acceptability Testing of ifarmwell

Methodological guidance and examples such as the studies by O’Brien et al [28] and Short et al [29] and the work outlined in this paper, provide a transparent account of intervention co-design and development upon which other clinicians and researchers can build. Ethics approval for this project was granted by the University of South Australia human research ethics committee (application ID 0000035637).

Usability, Acceptability, and Safety Analysis of a Computer-Tailored Web-Based Exercise Intervention (ExerciseGuide) for Individuals With Metastatic Prostate Cancer: Multi-Methods Laboratory-Based Study

The 12-item Short Form Survey, which is a reliable and valid instrument for adults with cancer, was used to quantify health-related quality of life [27]. Internet use was gauged based on a question used in the study by Short et al [28], and internet confidence (3 items rated on a 0-100 scale) questions were study specific. A concurrent think-aloud approach was used to identify usability issues within the website.

Characteristics of Adopters of an Online Social Networking Physical Activity Mobile Phone App: Cluster Analysis

Self-reported quality of life was measured using the validated 12-Item Short Form Health Survey (SF-12). This scale assesses both physical and mental quality of life domains [21]. Summary scales were scored using US population norms creating two measures for physical and mental component summary scores. The survey’s test-retest reliability (two weeks apart) was .89 for the physical component summary and .76 for the mental component summary [22].

The Effectiveness of a Web-Based Computer-Tailored Physical Activity Intervention Using Fitbit Activity Trackers: Randomized Trial

The Effectiveness of a Web-Based Computer-Tailored Physical Activity Intervention Using Fitbit Activity Trackers: Randomized Trial

On the basis of short Web-based surveys, participants in both groups were provided with behavior change content across 8 modules of personal physical activity advice delivered over a 3-month period. The first 4 modules were delivered weekly; the next 4 modules were delivered every 14 days. The 8 modules were organized in a set order and the next module could only be accessed when the previous module was completed. All modules were released at a set time point based on participants’ study start date.
